Summary, tl;dr
Pay $10/square via PayPal to cklimecky@hotmail.com to get the password and pick your square(s) for the HBS Super Bowl Squares pool (linked)! Picks must be made by 11:59pm on Friday, 2/5/2016. Numbers will be auto generated on 2/6/2016 or when all squares have been sold so everyone has a decent chance. 50% of proceeds will go to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America charity. Unsold squares that win will have money also donated to CCFA. Payout is 10% for 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters, 20% for final (4q doesn’t count if OT).
Full Official Rules
It’s HBS Bowl 2016! I’ve set up an online Superbowl Squares Pool that gives everyone 4 chances to win (once each quarter of the game) and do some good in the world at the same time. Maybe you don’t even like football, but like the idea of winning some cash – you can have fun, too!
Here’s how it works:
– Buy as many squares as you’d like at $10 per square, Paypal to cklimecky@hotmail.com.
– 50% of proceeds go to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America charity. The other 50% goes into the pool to be won by you (hopefully!).
– Each square will be assigned a random digit for each team for each of the 4 quarters. Unlike some other squares pools where you get to pick your number (giving some people relatively “good” numbers and others “bad” numbers for the whole game), everyone will get a decent shot at a win.
– You win if the last digit of each team’s score matches the digits assigned to your square(s) for each quarter. So if your numbers are 7 for Denver and 3 for Carolina, you win if the score is 7-3, 17-13, 27-3, etc. Any combo.
– Payout: With 50% going to charity, the pool 50% is divided as 10% for each of the 1st three quarters, then 20% for the final score (includes OT). So, for example, if all squares sell out, that’s $100 for each of the 1st three quarters, and $200 for the final score. If they don’t sell out and an empty square wins, those winnings will go to charity as well. Chris will send winnings via Paypal as soon as possible after the game!
