Chris Klimecky is an independent producer and musician in the Seattle area. Originally from Michigan, he toured much of the midwest in the 90’s as frontman for melodic prog rock band Jester’s Crown, releasing two full length albums – Above the Storm (1995) and Away (1998) – as well as the acoustic EP Where Daydreams Play (1996).
Moving to Seattle at the turn of the millennium, he started playing and recording all instruments in his home studio for the CD Marooned (2001). After a break from the music scene, twelve songs recorded between 2007-2009 with a variety of songwriting collaborations were brought together for the release Bankrupt Generation (2010).
After a major home studio upgrade, new songs for the album entitled This Journey started to emerge in 2011, with early preview versions of the songs “Energy,” “The Age Old Story,” “Water Colors,” and the title track “This Journey.” Look for this exciting new 10 song rock album early in 2012 and live performances from his new band that will represent his music in fully realized fashion! He has also produced recordings for a number of other musicians and hosts a podcast for Songwriters in Seattle, a network of over 500 musicians which he runs.
